DSC02775While the majority of BIBA’s game-based teaching takes place on the premises, some of our colleagues are present as guest lecturers at other European Universities. This time we went even further, and prepared both a workshop and a two-day course for students at the University Arturo Prat (UNAP) in Iquique, Chile.

As part of an exchange project financed by BMBF and the University Arturo Prat, researchers from both institutions (BIBA and UNAP) are visiting each other for research purposes and to build up long-term cooperation. Our Chilean partner was very interested in our gaming activities and how they could be implemented at UNAP to improve their engineering courses, so in addition to exchanging research,  some examples were prepared. Additionally, a course regularly offered to Bremen students was given a run at UNAP.

The feedback from UNAP students was motivating. We are looking for more opportunities to share our experiences and to learn together with colleagues and students from UNAP, Iquique.
